It is the fourth of July and we will be spending the day at home.  Mom remembered it was a holiday 😉  It is foggy outside making it look we are living in the clouds.  Hopefully I’ll get motivated to work on my “cleaning list”.  I seem to get engrossed in working on cutting files for cards and soon the day is done.

Randy finally had a day off so he and Kerry had a bon fire going most of yesterday.  It is great that we no longer have twigs all over the place since we got all the cottonwood trees topped, but I’m glad we have air condition in the house since we don’t have any shade anymore.

I’m not sure if all the rain has chased the mice inside, but my cats spent most of yesterday watching and playing with a cornered mouse . . . unfortunately this was a bigger mouse and we haven’t found it dead anywhere (icky).  They don’t kill the mouse – they just play with it 😉  Honestly – we find the little mice dead on their back usually in the family room.  Hope we find it soon.

Val and I had a great time “sittin & talkin on the porch” last evening.  We also entertained Janiah and watched Natalie play with the neighbor kids.  The breeze kept us cool as we discussed important girl stuff, with some input from Wayne and Bobby (they didn’t stick around – I think they didn’t understand the giggles).  I look forward to more porch evenings.
